I'm in Indiana today, and I've made a pretty successful recovery from the pulling of the tooth incident. I do have a strong message for anyone who is going to get their teeth pulled in the future. Make sure they knock you out! I say this because I decided to be brave and stay awake while they waged war inside my mouth. Worst mistake I have ever made. They say that you don't feel anything except a little pressure. Not true!!! Now either he didn't numb the right area of my my mouth, or he was cruel and was just lying. His assistant had a crazy look in her eye as well, and she was the deciding factor for me to stay awake. " Oh don't worry darling, you won't feel a thing. It will be over before you know it".
Anyway there is still a bit of awkwardness going on in my mouth right now, considering there is a huge void in the upper right hand side of my mouth; however the throbbing pain that I was experiencing has subsided and I am ready for tonight's show. Sorry to anyone who was planning on going to those shows, we will be back soon.

Hey Jason, I don't know how you are back onstage already that just sounds AWFUL! I think I will definately take your advice when it comes time to get mine pulled, fortunately I only have one wisdom tooth:) I hope you are feeling better buddy:) Happy Birthday 7-5-08! Enjoy your special day:)
Jason,
I really hope you are feeling better!!! I have been there...done that (novicaine only) more than once and yes...it sucks.
My man Bryan is going to be at the show tonight (all the way from Eau Claire, WI) and I am positive he will have a AWESOME time!! I couldn't make it as I am home with the flu...(oh...joy...)
Have a great night!!!

Hi Jason, I'm glad that you're feeling better. :)
They did the same thing to me when I had my 1st wisdom tooth out and they lied about the not feeling anything! So when I had to have the other 3 removed I was put to sleep and it was much more relaxing. Glad to hear it went well!!
Oops! I meant Davenport, Iowa, not Danville. Sorry! Wasn't thinking.
Awesome recovery, so congrats on that and the awesome switching of guitars continues which is so cool at every concert between the different lyrical songs!!! which is so refreshing to see! So peace out from nyc to new jersey!!!
I know how bad it is to stay awake. Last month I got 2 wisdom teeth pull on the same day. I decided to pull the upper left tooth but they told me I should pull the lower left tooth too. So I was like OK, shouldn't be so bad, I think I'm strong enough lol
But it's not like I think, the crazy sound is too scary. For my upper tooth, the dentist did to my tooth like driving a chisel. For the one, she cut my inner cheek too long. The worst moment is when I drink cold water, it passed for 4 hours so I think I can drink water. That's painful, I almost cry lol
It's good to pass that time Jason lol I hope you feel good like the same soon, take care :D
I'm really glad your teeth are a-okay now, Jason! I've had a couple teeth pulled, but none of them were permanent, so I don't even want to imagine how that felt. But, on the plus side, I might be able to go to the Danville, Iowa concert if you reschedule it!
hey Jason,
sorry to hear that it was miserable experience, but glad you're feeling better...I worked for a dentist for many years and had all 4 wisdoms taken out myself...I'm surprised you only had 1 that had to come out??!*....Yep, mine hurt too: I was numb but didn't get the anesthesia. I felt the pulling & drilling to get them out, and it took them a long time. Very swollen, bruised and in throbbing pain when the numbness wore off and had that horrible hole with the bad taste afterwards...Don't worry,,,it gets much better in a few days... take care, we need you back on the road!
I know what it's like to be awake while getting teeth pulled. Not so fun. I passed out, and they weren't even wisdom teeth. I can't imagine how painful it must have... But I'm glad to hear you're doing better. Hope to see you guys soon. :D
